To refine and elevate the discourse on Longevity (healthy ageing), we are pleased to invite you to attend an online event we are organizing with Sharjah Research Technology & Innovation Park (SRTIP) on Feb 14th at 15:00 GST/UAE time.


The rapidly evolving Longevity sector is expected to be the largest and most sophisticated of all time. It sits at the intersection of several subsectors from BioTech and pharmaceuticals to FinTech and InsurTech, among many others. In the UAE, the Longevity sector is expected to grow at a CAGR of 3% to reach USD 23 billion in 2026.

H.E. Dr. Amin Hussain Al Amiri
Assistant Undersecretary of Health Regulations Sector at the UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP)

H.E. started his career at the Ministry of Health in 1985 while still pursuing his education. He holds a Ph.D. in blood transfusion medicine from Aberdeen University in Scotland. He was appointed as assistant undersecretary in 2006.


Currently, as the Assistant Undersecretary for Health Regulations, H.E. is responsible for the Drug management, Control, Audit and Inspection, Licensing and Accreditation, Standards and Guidelines along with the Organ Donation and Transplantation Office.


His excellency has written numerous books and scientific publications in the field of blood medicine and received many awards from local and international organizations.

H.E. Hussain Al Mahmoudi
CEO of Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park (SRTIP)

H.E. Hussain serves a dual role as the CEO of the American University of Sharjah Enterprises (AUSE) and as the CEO of the Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park (SRTIP). Both these entities were established through royal decree by the Ruler of Sharjah, who also directly appointed H.E. Hussain to these responsibilities in order to create collaborative long-term relationships between industry, academia and the public sector, fostering an ecosystem of enterprise and innovation.

Previously, H.E. Hussain served as the Director General of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, a Member of the UAE Chamber Federation, and GCC Chambers for 8 years. He was responsible for the overall management and operations of the Chamber including the provision of services to its members. In this role, he launched several strategic
economic initiatives for Sharjah such as the SME Act, Sharjah Export Centre, Sharjah Commercial Arbitration Centre, and the Sharjah Business Forum.

H.E. Hussain has held leadership roles at leading regional and international companies such as the Royal Dutch Shell Group, Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC), and several Dubai Holding entities. He currently serves as honorary board member of both, the Tatweer Forum and of Maastricht University in the Netherlands, and as chairman of the Emirates Business
Council for Sustainable Development. He also serves as a board member of the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Center (Sheraa). 

H.E. Hussain possesses an MBA from the American University of Sharjah and a BA in Economics and Communications from Seattle Pacific University in the US.

Tushar Singhvi
Deputy CEO & Head of Investments, Crescent Enterprises

Tushar Singhvi leads corporate development and investments activities and is responsible for evaluating and executing new investment opportunities on behalf of Crescent Enterprises. He also manages the portfolio companies through strategy and corporate development. He has been instrumental in cultivating corporate prospects and in contributing to the development of Crescent Enterprises’ strategic and operational plans within the ports and logistics, business aviation, healthcare, private equity, and venture capital verticals.


Tushar has over 18 years of global experience in investment management, corporate development, strategy development, and project management in sectors including power, logistics, oil and gas, healthcare, and infrastructure development. He has worked on a range of transactions including mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, divestitures, and debt restructuring.

Before joining Crescent Enterprises, Tushar worked with KPMG Corporate Finance in Dubai and, earlier, with an investment banking firm in London, United Kingdom. Prior to that, he spent five years in the power and infrastructure industries in Asia and Africa.
Tushar holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the University of Pune, India. He also holds a Master of Business Administration with distinction from the University of Oxford.
Tushar represents Crescent Enterprises in the Executive Network of the World Economic Forum’s EDISON Alliance, helping mobilize joint effort and aligning priorities to enhance the case for digital investment.

Sherif El Ghamrawy
Senior Investment Advisor, Asset Capital Solutions

Sherif is a Senior Investment Advisor at Asset Capital Solutions and focuses on real estate investments including 4 & 5 star hotel properties, luxury homes, land sourcing for mid-to-large new property developments and complete building sales.

He also helps raise capital for various real estate and technology ventures through private equity, venture capital and joint-venture partnerships.

An accomplished marketing and communications executive, Sherif has over two decades of corporate experience across MENA, USA and Europe. Based in Dubai since 1995, he has spent considerable years working in Abu Dhabi, Amman, Cairo, Chicago, Kuwait, London, and Miami.

He has managed strategic global programmes for Fortune 500 and regional organizations in diverse sectors including technology/telecom, automotive, consumer, hospitality, real estate, as well as in government organizations and in defense.

His recent roles have included VP of Communications at Expo 2020 Dubai, Communications Advisor to the CEO of ADNOC’s Al Dhafra Petroleum, AVP of DAMAC Properties Group and Regional Group Director at Ogilvy Middle East.

Petr Sramek, the serial entrepreneur and investor for more than 33 years, is building science, funding, and business infrastructure to support faster adoption of health-span improving technologies. He is a founder of VC Longevitytech.fund with 40 portfolio companies, former Entrepreneur in Residence at Singularity University, board member at Celeris Therapeutics (US), Animal Biosciences (US), AgeCurve (UK), iamYiam (UK). He advises companies as a mentor at Foresight Institute and On Deck Longevity Biotech.

Dr. Omar Najim

Director of Executive office, Health Authority in Abu Dhabi

Dr. Omar leads the executive office and special projects at the Department of Health in Abu Dhabi. The Department’s main role is to be the guardian of health in the emirate of Abu Dhabi and to achieve the vision of a healthier city.
 

Dr. Omar is a member of Gold Command Team for Covid-19 and part of the team leading on transforming healthcare in Abu Dhabi.
 

Dr. Omar trained as a Head and Neck surgeon in the UK. He is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh; Holds a Masters in surgical technology and healthcare innovation from Imperial College London and did a one-year leadership and quality fellowship at the NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement. Dr. Omar published and presented in the field of medicine, healthcare operation, quality and workforce planning.

She has over 15 years of industry experience in communications, events management and marketing. She holds a Masters in Psychology, which focused on the relationship between people and technology.
